Jaguar

Jaguar is a mid-early variety of field pea (Pisum sativum L.), created through multiple cycles of individual selection from a hybrid population. It belongs to the sativum subspecies and the zelenovii variety. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as moderate drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 216 to 274 grams, approximately 20 grams higher than standard indicators, and the average yield reaches 23.1 centners per hectare. Jaguar pea grains have good splitting properties and excellent taste, ensuring high commercial and culinary qualities of the product.

The plant features an upright and bushy form, forming pods about 15 centimeters long in green color. The variety is noted for its high plasticity and ability to adapt to high temperatures, enhancing its resistance to adverse weather conditions. Additionally, Jaguar pea exhibits high resistance to viral diseases such as BCMV and CI, contributing to plant health and yield stability.
