Description
Summer variety selected by VSTISP. Obtained from crossing the interspecific hybrid 2-22-60 with the interspecific hybrid September (1959). Authors: Y. A. Petrov, N. V. Efimova. Included in the State Register in 2002 for the Central region.
Medium-sized tree with medium-density crown. Main branches diverge from the trunk at nearly straight angles, curved branches are sparsely arranged, branch tips are directed upward and sideways. Bark on the trunk and main branches is smooth and brown. Predominant fruit formation type — mixed (simple and complex rings).
Medium-length, curved, brown shoots without hairs. Many large buds on the shoot. Buds are pressed, large, elongated, smooth. Leaves are large and medium-sized, broadly oval, dark green, shiny, with delicate venation. Leaf margin is serrated and rolled, leaf blade convex and curved downward, no hairs. Petiole is long and hairless.
Flower buds are medium-sized, smooth, elongated. Flowers are medium-sized, small-cup-shaped, white. Petals are oval, medium-sized.
Fruits of medium size, weighing 115–135 g, medium uniformity, elongated-pyriform shape, smooth surface. Main color at harvest maturity is greenish, at consumer maturity — greenish-yellow, no covering. Few subcutaneous dots, barely noticeable. Peduncle is long, medium-sized, curved, oblique. Calyx is small, no rust. Calyx cup is closed, small. Heart is small, elongated-oval. Seed chambers are closed, medium-sized. Subcalyx tube is short, medium-width. Seeds are large, oval, black.
Fruit flesh is creamy, tender, semi-oily, very juicy, with a slightly acidic-sweet taste. Sensory evaluation: appearance 4.1 points, taste 4.4 points. Chemical composition: sugars — 10.0%, acids — 0.15%.
Harvest maturity in Moscow conditions occurs in the second decade of August. Variety is early-bearing and high-yielding. Average yield over five years was 28 tons/ha.
Advantages of the variety: early-bearing, medium-height, with summer-ripening fruits.
