Sweet from Mleeva

The 'Sweet from Mleeva' pear variety is a late-ripening type with a strong tree and a wide, medium-density pyramidal crown. The main fruiting type is ring-shaped, with stable and regular yields. The fruits are medium-sized, about 150 grams, and have a broad-conical shape. Their main color is light green with a light yellow covering, enhanced by a slight pink blush and small green spots. The flesh is white with a slight yellowish tint, slightly granular, juicy, and sweet with a pleasant acidity, giving the fruit a good taste.

The harvest period for these pears falls at the end of August to the beginning of September. The fruits can be stored for 8-10 days at room temperature and up to 2 months in a refrigerator at around +2°C, maintaining their flavor and appearance. Due to their versatility, these pears are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing: they can be used to make jams, compotes, juice, marmalade, or even wine, which is especially practical during abundant harvests.

The variety has moderate winter hardiness and resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and scab, as well as other common ailments. The pear is sun-loving and well-suited for cultivation in open-ground orchards. Saplings are typically about 100-110 cm tall and come with an artificial soil ball, facilitating planting and establishment.
