The potato variety Detskoselsky is a medium-early table variety with a maturation period of 65 to 80 days. Tubers have pink skin and a flat-oval shape with small red eyes, and the flesh is white. The average weight of marketable tubers ranges from 110 to 120 grams, and the number of tubers per plant varies from 8 to 14. The starch content is within 15-18%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes, including frying, baking, and making mashed potatoes.

Detskoselsky is characterized by high and stable yield, reaching 33 to 45 tons per hectare, with tuber marketability of about 88-92%. The variety has good storability — up to 95% — ensuring long-term storage without loss of quality. It is adapted to various soil types and climatic conditions, making it ecologically flexible and convenient for cultivation in different regions.

Special attention has been given to the variety's disease resistance: it shows resistance to potato cancer (pathotype I), as well as relative resistance to viral diseases, late blight, and common scab. At the same time, the variety is weakly affected by golden potato nematode. Thanks to these characteristics and good taste qualities, the Detskoselsky variety is a reliable choice for cultivation both on an industrial scale and in private households.
