Potato variety Ervel is a medium-maturing table variety with tall, stem-type plants and semi-upright growth habit. Leaves are medium-sized, intermediate type, green in color, with small or medium-sized flower clusters lacking or with very weak anthocyanin pigmentation on the inner side. Tubers are oval in shape with medium-depth eyes, with yellow skin and flesh, giving them an attractive appearance and good flavor.

The yield of Ervel variety ranges from 147 to 233 centners per hectare, matching the Aspia standard and exceeding the Kuzovok standard by 37 centners. Maximum yield reaches 581 centners per hectare, 112 centners above the Aspia standard, confirmed in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The mass of one marketable tuber ranges from 97 to 140 grams, with starch content reaching 17.1%. The marketability of the variety is 80%, and storability is 94%, indicating good preservation of the harvest during storage.

Ervel variety shows resistance to potato cancer pathogen (pathotype I), as well as relatively resistance to crinkly, striped mosaic, and leaf curl diseases. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode and moderately susceptible to late blight on foliage, while tubers are susceptible to late blight. These characteristics make the variety suitable for cultivation in the Ural region, ensuring stable and high-quality yields when agronomic requirements are met.
