Potato variety Granary is mid-early and distinguished by high yield and excellent taste qualities. The vegetation period of this variety is 89-94 days, allowing harvest to be collected already at the beginning of summer. This Ukrainian selection variety is widely known for its versatility and is suitable for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. Tubers have an oval shape and an attractive red skin color, with the weight of a single potato ranging from 90 to 150 grams. The flesh is yellow, indicating high carotene content, and starch content ranges from 14.4-15.9%. Granary shows good resistance to diseases such as potato cancer, macrosporiosis, and phytophthora, as well as relative resistance to stem nematode and common scab. The variety has high tuber marketability, ranging from 74.7 to 81.9%, and is well-suited for mechanized harvesting. Dry matter content in tubers ranges from 21.7-23.7%, positively affecting storage and processing quality. Due to its characteristics, Granary is ideally suited for commercial cultivation and market sales, including supermarket sales. High yield, reaching up to 50 tons per hectare with proper agronomic practices, makes this variety an advantageous choice for farmers.
