KISLOVODSKY

Potato Kисловодский — an early-maturing table variety of Russian selection, intended for cultivation in private households, especially in the North Caucasus region. The plant is of medium height with semi-erect stems and large dark-green open-type leaves. The flower corolla is red-purple. Tubers are oval-round in shape with small eyes of medium depth, red skin of medium smoothness, and light-yellow flesh. The weight of marketable tubers ranges from 83 to 128 grams, with 6–11 tubers per plant.

The ripening period is 65–75 days, with the first harvest possible as early as day 45 after emergence, and the second — on day 55. Yield averages 262 centners per hectare, with a maximum of up to 364 centners. Tubers' marketability ranges from 81–95%, and storability is at 91%. Starch content is from 12.6 to 15.5%, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes, including frying, soups, and baking. The potato has good taste, confirming its high consumer qualities.

The variety is resistant to potato cancer pathogen, moderately resistant to viral diseases, and weakly susceptible to late blight and common scab. However, it is susceptible to golden potato cyst nematode. Due to its characteristics, Kисловодский is a reliable choice for early harvest and ensures stable quality and preservation of tubers.
