KUZOVOK

The potato variety Kuzovok is a medium-maturing table variety of Russian selection with a maturation period of 80-95 days. The plant is of medium height, intermediate type, with semi-erect growth habit, medium-sized green leaves and small flower buds. Tubers are elongated-oval with small eyes, yellow skin and flesh. The weight of marketable tubers varies from 80 to 103 grams, and the number of tubers per plant is 7-11. The starch content is within 15.2-16.7%, providing good culinary qualities and versatility in cooking methods such as frying, boiling, and stewing. The variety is characterized by high market yield, ranging from 93 to 205 centners per hectare, with a maximum of 250 centners. Tubers’ marketability reaches 83-91%, and storability is 95%, indicating good product preservation during storage. Kuzovok has excellent taste and belongs to the culinary type BC, making it popular among consumers. Special attention has been paid to the variety's resistance to various diseases. Kuzovok is resistant to potato cancer pathogen, golden potato cyst nematode, late blight of foliage and tubers, mosaic virus, and leaf curl virus. Thanks to these qualities, the variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Ural region, where it shows stable and high yields.
