Terra

The potato variety Terra is a high-yielding, very early table variety, characterized by its low maintenance and strong immunity. The plant is low-growing, leafy, semi-erect with green, closed leaves of medium to large size. The flower is medium-sized with no or very weak anthocyanic coloration on the inner side. Tubers have a regular oval shape with medium-depth eyes, yellow skin and bright yellow flesh. The marketable tuber mass ranges from 100 to 130 grams, and the starch content varies between 15.5–16.5%.

The Terra variety is characterized by high yield: marketable yield reaches 171–460 centners per hectare, which is 28 centners higher than the standard Udaча and matches the level of the Red Scarlett standard. Yield on day 45 after emergence is 111–172 centners per hectare, and on day 55 — 182–264 centners, significantly exceeding the standards of Udaча and Baron. Maximum yield may reach 610 centners per hectare, which is 30 centners higher than the Antonina standard. The marketability of the variety is 88%, and storability is 97%, ensuring long-term storage of tubers without loss of quality.

Terra potato is resistant to potato cancer pathogen, golden potato cyst nematode, and also to crinkly and striped mosaic. However, according to data from the All-Russian Research Institute of Phytopathology, the variety is susceptible to late blight on foliage and tubers. Due to its good taste qualities, rated as good to excellent, and its versatility in culinary use, this variety is suitable for preparing a variety of dishes. High storability and disease resistance make Terra a profitable choice for cultivation in various regions.
