The SARATOVSKAYA 5 rye variety is characterized by large grains with an oval shape and sparse hairs, as well as high bushiness and a long stem measuring about 115-120 cm. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 32-40 g, ensuring good yield. The vegetative period is approximately 282-305 days, corresponding to mid-ripe varieties. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging, drought, and shattering, with winter hardiness rated as above average.
The use of SARATOVSKAYA 5 is possible for both grain and fodder purposes. It demonstrates stable yields, reaching an average of 29.6 c/ha, with the possibility of increase under favorable conditions. The plant leaves are wide, dark green with a waxy coating, and the ear is prismatic and well-grained, which contributes to quality crop formation.
