Orange Revolution

The "Orange Revolution" variety is a self-fertible sea buckthorn with bright orange large berries, juicy and sweet-sour in taste. Berries reach a weight of up to 2 grams, and the medium-sized crown of the bushes has a dense branched structure with medium-sized thorns. Thanks to high yield - up to 15 kg per bush on an adult plant and more than 20 tons per hectare under optimal conditions - this variety is suitable both for garden plots and for industrial cultivation.

Sea buckthorn "Orange Revolution" is distinguished by resistance to diseases, mycosis, and frosts down to -35 °C. The plant does not require special soil conditions: it grows well on any fertile soil, preferring sunny places without shade. Irrigation during moisture deficit and fertilization with phosphate or organic fertilizers twice a year ensure stable growth and maximum yield.

Berries of this variety possess a high concentration of vitamin C and antioxidants, as well as a high content of carotenoids (about 14 mg/100 g). This makes them valuable for the food industry - juices, jams, freezing, as well as for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. Thanks to the dense pulp and medium firmness of the skin, the berries do not crush during transportation, which facilitates mechanized harvesting and processing.

The "Orange Revolution" variety was developed based on the hybridization of subspecies Hippophae rhamnoides subsp. rhamnoides and H. rhamnoides subsp. mongolica, which ensures high productivity and an early ripening period - end of July in warm regions, mid-August in colder ones. Seedlings are available in containers, suitable for planting from spring to late autumn, and have a robust root system adapted to growing conditions.
