Description
The plant forms a small leaf rosette with a strong upright stem, facilitating harvest. The leaves are large, green with a slight purplish tint, giving the plant an attractive appearance at all growth stages. Atomman beet is resistant to bolting, cold-tolerant, and well-adapted to drought and low temperatures, allowing cultivation under various climatic conditions. The variety requires adequate moisture, especially during seed germination and root formation, and prefers light, fertile, well-fertilized soils with neutral or slightly acidic pH.
Sowing is recommended when the soil has warmed to 6-10°C, planting seeds at a depth of 2-4 cm with a seeding rate of 1-1.5 g per square meter. Crop care includes regular hoeing, weed control, and moderate watering, avoiding waterlogging to prevent fungal diseases. For increased yield and root quality, nitrogen fertilizers are applied at the 2-3 true leaf stage, and phosphorus-potassium fertilizers are used during root formation. The yield of this variety reaches 3.2-7 kg per square meter. The roots are easily harvested and have excellent storage qualities at a temperature of 0-2°C and humidity of 90-95%, allowing them to be stored for 6-8 months without loss of flavor or nutritional value. Due to these characteristics, Atomman beet is widely used for winter storage, processing, and fresh consumption.
