BORDOVAYA VNIIO BEET

The BORDOVAIA VNIIO® beet is a mid-season variety developed by the All-Russian Institute of Vegetable Growing (VNIIO). This variety is intended for food production and is characterized by high yield and large, spherical root vegetables weighing from 250 to 500 grams. The vegetation period is 90-100 days from seedling emergence, allowing for a stable harvest in moderate climatic conditions.

The flesh of the BORDOVAIA VNIIO® beet has an intense dark-red color without radial rings, indicating high quality and product attractiveness. The taste of the root vegetables is sweet and delicate, making the variety in demand for both home use and the food industry. The beets are characterized by good storage capacity during winter storage, which allows them to maintain freshness and nutritional properties for a long time.

The variety has relative resistance to diseases and drought, which increases its reliability when grown under various conditions. During the breeding work, special attention was paid to the formation of a round root vegetable with a small head and a thin axial root, as well as to the intensity of flesh coloring and the absence of ringiness. These characteristics make BORDOVAIA VNIIO® a promising and high-quality variety of table beet suitable for culinary use and processing.
