Kukharka

Kukharka is a high-yield table beet variety of early maturity, reaching technical maturity within 80-90 days after germination. The roots have a round shape, uniform appearance, with a diameter of 7-9 cm and a weight ranging from 170 to 290 grams. The beet pulp is characterized by a rich dark-red color, a tender structure without ringiness and coarse fibers, ensuring excellent taste qualities. The variety is resistant to bolting and leaflessness, making it a reliable choice for growing under various conditions. Kukharka beet has a powerful foliage apparatus and a well-developed root system, allowing it to withstand drought and heat well. Plants are recommended for cultivation on sunny or slightly shaded areas with loose, neutral-acidity soil. Successful cultivation requires regular watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilization. Sowing seeds is carried out in April-May at a depth of about 2 cm, followed by thinning seedlings in two stages: at the appearance of the first two pairs of true leaves and when the roots reach a diameter of 2-3 cm. Kukharka is suitable for home cooking, canning, freezing, and winter storage due to good transportability and high market quality of roots. The variety is intended for cultivation both in open ground and protected ground.
