Description
The variety is highly cold-hardy, resistant to bolting, and well-adapted to cultivation in fertile, light soils. The leaves are oval, green with red veins; the petioles have a purple color on the underside, giving the plant a decorative appearance. Due to its properties, beet MASHENKA is recommended for fresh consumption, home cooking, canning, and winter storage. Additionally, the plant can be used to decorate rest areas in combination with aromatic herbs and flowers.
Sowing is carried out in late April to early May when soil temperature is above 10°C, at a depth of 2-3 cm with row spacing of 25-30 cm. Thinning is carried out after the appearance of the second true leaf, leaving about 10 cm between plants. For seedling cultivation, sowing is performed at a soil temperature of 24-30°C, and after hardening, seedlings are transplanted into open ground after the threat of frost has passed. Care includes timely watering, regular weeding, loosening, and fertilizing with complex mineral fertilizers. Yield is 4-7.6 kg per square meter, making the variety attractive for gardeners and farmers.
