Baikonur

Tomato Baikonur F1 is an early, tall hybrid developed by the Dutch seed company Enza Zaden. It is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil, including first and second planting rotations. The plant is indeterminate, with a strong root system and medium-length internodes, which contributes to its resistance to temperature fluctuations and positively affects fruit set under various climatic conditions.

The fruits of Tomato Baikonur F1 are round, weighing between 160 and 200 grams, with a rich red flesh and a sweet flavor. They are characterized by their density, juiciness, and high nutritional value, making them suitable for fresh consumption and processing into juice. Thanks to their high transportability and shelf life, the tomatoes maintain their attractive appearance and flavor for an extended period, which is especially important for fresh market sales.

The hybrid shows good resistance to common diseases such as tomato mosaic virus, fusarium wilt, yellow curly disease, and bronzing. To increase yield, active agronomic practices and drip irrigation are recommended, considering the crop’s moisture requirements. Baikonur F1 is suitable for spring and autumn crop rotations on various substrates and soil types, making it a versatile choice for gardeners and farmers.
