Description
The tomato BERCAT plant exhibits a well-balanced vegetative growth type with an open habit, promoting good ventilation and fruit illumination. The hybrid is high-yielding and suitable for extended turnover and light cultivation. Due to the strong inflorescence stems and absence of fruit drop, harvesting becomes more convenient and efficient. The plant is resistant to powdery mildew, further enhancing its reliability under various growing conditions.
For successful cultivation of tomato BERCAT, it is recommended to use well-cultivated fertile soils and maintain a thermal regime corresponding to the crop's requirements. Seeds are sown for seedlings at the end of March to early April, and transplanting is performed at the 1–2 true leaf stage. Seedlings are transplanted into the ground at 55–70 days after the threat of frost has passed, following a planting scheme of 50×40 cm. During the vegetative period, timely weeding, pinching, watering, and 2–3 feedings are required to ensure full development and maximum yield.
