CHIO-CHIO-SAN

Chio-Chio-San tomato is a medium-maturing variety with high yield and excellent taste qualities. The plant is indeterminate, with a highly branched stem, reaching a height of 1.5 to 1.8 meters, and can grow up to 2 meters under favorable conditions. The bush forms long, garland-like clusters, bearing up to 50 rose-colored, plum-shaped or slightly pear-shaped fruits weighing 25 to 50 grams. The fruits have dense flesh, sweet dessert-like flavor, and soft skin, making them especially delicious fresh and suitable for all types of canning.

The Chio-Chio-San variety was developed by the Gavrich breeding company and registered in the late 1990s. It is resistant to phytophthora and retains its pleasant sweetness even under cloudy weather. The crop is heat- and light-loving, prefers light, fertile soils, and responds well to fertilization. Due to its high yield and disease resistance, this tomato is suitable for both open-field and greenhouse cultivation.

Growing this variety begins with sowing seeds in March to obtain seedlings, which are transplanted into the ground in May with an optimal planting scheme of 40x60 cm.
