Description
De Barao tomato can be grown both as seedlings and without seedlings, but seedlings are preferred; seeds are sown in March–April for harvest by August. The vegetative period is approximately 70–80 days from transplanting seedlings, and the overall ripening period may reach 120–125 days. The plant is not picky about soil composition, tolerates shade well, and is resistant to most diseases, but requires regular care, including timely suckering, loosening, watering, and fertilization. Special attention should be paid to proper seed preparation and protecting seedlings from frost.
The yield of De Barao tomato has good storability and can be stored for up to 2.5 months under storage conditions in ventilated rooms at around +10°C. Due to its reliability and ease of cultivation, this variety is popular among gardeners and growers, being a classic in tomato production and a proven choice for obtaining a stable and high-quality yield.
