Description
KARAKUM tomato fruits have diverse shapes and colors: elongated cherry-type fruits weighing 20-25 grams with a chocolate hue, as well as plum-shaped and pear-shaped bright yellow fruits with purple shoulders weighing 20 to 130 grams. The flesh is juicy, crisp, and sweet, with high sugar content (up to 14%) and beneficial compounds such as anthocyanins and carotene. The fruits are robust, free from green spots at the stem attachment, and resistant to cracking, making them convenient for transportation and storage.
The KARAKUM hybrid exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases, including mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, verticillium wilt, and fusarium wilt, as well as tolerance to powdery mildew and TY virus. It is suitable for cultivation both in protected and open ground conditions, including greenhouse complexes and large-scale agricultural enterprises. The recommended planting scheme is 50-70 cm apart with 40 cm between rows. KARAKUM tomatoes are ideal for fresh consumption and canning, thanks to their flavor and disease resistance.
