MICADO PINK

Tomato Micado Pink — an early-maturing indeterminate variety, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plant is tall, reaching heights of 150 to 200 centimeters, and requires mandatory staking and pruning to 1-2 stems to control growth and improve yield. Leaves are of medium size, dark green, with moderate leafiness, and the first fruiting clusters form above the 7th-9th leaf, each containing 3-4 flowers. To obtain large fruits, it is recommended to regulate clusters and pinch off the plant above the last flower.

The fruits of tomato Micado Pink are large, flat-round in shape, with ribbed surface and uniform size. The weight of one fruit varies from 200 to 400 grams, although on the first clusters, individual fruits may reach up to 940 grams. The skin is thin but sufficiently firm and shiny, ensuring good transportability and short-term storage capability. The flesh is juicy and succulent, with a pronounced sweet taste and aroma, rich in carotene, lycopene, and selenium. The fruits are multi-chambered, with a small number of tiny seeds, making them ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for making juices and homemade preserves.

The variety shows moderate resistance to late blight and fungal diseases, especially under greenhouse conditions; however, in open ground under high humidity, infections and fruit cracking may occur. Yield ranges from 5-6 to 10-12 kilograms per square meter, depending on cultivation conditions and agrotechnology. Micado Pink is valued for its high quality taste and aroma, making it popular among lovers of salad and delicacy tomato varieties.
