Tomato Scala — this is a late-maturing determinate variety, developed by Ukrainian breeder Maxim Viktorovich Guryan. Plants are low-growing, 50-60 cm tall, bushy with strong stems requiring support. This variety is intended for open-ground cultivation and is characterized by high resistance to phytophthora. Fruit ripening occurs 125-130 days after emergence, making it one of the latest-maturing varieties.

Tomato Scala fruits have an original triangular shape and grow evenly on simple clusters, containing 6-8 fruits that ripen simultaneously. When fully ripe, the tomatoes acquire a bright golden or light-orange color with a very dense skin covering juicy, succulent flesh with thick walls of rich red-orange hue. Average fruit weight is about 100-120 g. The taste of the tomatoes is tangy-sweet, refreshing and harmonious, making them attractive both for fresh consumption and processing.

Tomato Scala has good transportability and a long storage period without loss of flavor and nutritional value. Due to these properties, as well as high yield and disease resistance, the variety is widely used for fresh market sales, canning, and processing. Mature clusters are recommended to be cut off entirely, which helps better preserve the fruits until New Year.
