YAMSHCHIK

Tomato variety Yamshchik is a tall indeterminate plant, primarily intended for cultivation under greenhouse conditions. This medium-early variety ripens in 110 days after sowing, allowing for a prolonged harvest period. The plant has medium-sized green leaves and simple flower clusters; to form a bush, it is recommended to grow it as a single stem with mandatory removal of suckers and lower leaves, as well as pinching the growing tip at the end of the vegetative period. Staking should be done a few days after transplanting seedlings, which are planted after the end of spring frosts when the plants are 35-40 days old, following a planting scheme of 40x60 cm. The fruits of tomato Yamshchik have a slightly ribbed, flat-round shape, turning red at maturity, while unripe fruits are light green. Each fruit weighs 140–160 grams, with 5–6 fruits forming in clusters. The tomatoes have dense flesh with a concentrated sweet taste and pronounced aroma, making them suitable for fresh use in salads, as well as for making juices and tomato paste. The number of seeds in the fruits varies from 4 to 6, contributing to good flesh structure. The Yamshchik variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 8–10 kg per square meter during peak fruit harvest. It is adaptable and versatile, appreciated by both home gardeners and professional vegetable growers. Due to its prolonged and abundant fruiting, this tomato ensures a steady supply of fresh produce from the start of ripening until the end of the season.
