Polaris

The Polaris watermelon is a mid-late hybrid with a maturity period from seedling emergence to fruit harvest of about 93-97 days. The plant is vining with green, slightly wrinkled leaves. The fruits are round or oval-round, with light green or dark green rind featuring a characteristic striped pattern. Fruit weight ranges from 3.7 to 11 kg, depending on growing conditions and the specific hybrid variety. The flesh is red or dark red, very firm, sweet, fiberless, with small brown seeds.

The Polaris hybrid is distinguished by high yield, especially when using drip irrigation, reaching over 90 tons per hectare. It has good transportability and can maintain marketable quality for 15 days after harvest, making it convenient for long-term storage and transportation over long distances. Additionally, the variety demonstrates high resistance to diseases such as anthracnose and fusarium wilt, contributing to a stable and high-quality yield.

This watermelon is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the Lower Volga region, and is valued for its juicy, sweet flesh and attractive fruit appearance.
