Description
The flesh of the Snowball melon is bright red or dark pink, granular, very sweet and juicy, confirmed by a high taste rating of 4.9-5 points. The seeds are small, black or dark brown, 8-9 mm long. The variety is distinguished by good commercial quality and pleasant taste, making it popular for fresh consumption.
Snowball is drought-tolerant, resistant to bacterial diseases, and relatively resistant to anthracnose, ensuring stable yields of up to 40 tons per hectare. Although well-adapted to irrigated conditions, the variety is less suited to extremely dry and hot environments. Sowing is recommended in April-May at a depth of 3-5 cm. Snowball melon is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones and is in demand due to its combination of taste qualities and disease resistance.
