Description
The fruits of watermelon Tamtam have a elongated-oval shape, 40–45 cm long and 25–30 cm in diameter, weighing 8–10 kg. The skin is dense, 9–11 mm thick, light green with wide light and narrow dark stripes, giving the fruits an attractive appearance. The flesh is dark red, crisp, juicy, and sweet with a sugar content (Brix) of 11–12%, possessing a rich aroma and pleasant taste. Due to its dense skin, the fruits withstand long-distance transportation and prolonged storage in dark, cool conditions.
Watermelon Tamtam F1 is suitable for fresh consumption and market sales, as well as for preparing fruit salads. One plant can yield one to two full-sized fruits with high commercial quality. This hybrid is an excellent choice for farmers and gardeners aiming to obtain an early, tasty, and disease-resistant watermelon harvest.
