The fungus is primarily responsible for stem and branch blights, root rots, and leaf lesions. It affects a wide range of host plants, including ornamental woody shrubs like rhododendrons and various greenhouse vegetables. The infection manifests as dark, sunken lesions that expand over time, eventually leading to the chlorosis and wilting of the affected plant tissues.
