The disease manifests mainly as leaf spots, appearing as small, dark lesions on the leaves. As the infection progresses, these spots may expand and coalesce, leading to chlorosis, tissue necrosis, and premature defoliation of the peanut plants, which ultimately reduces the crop's photosynthetic efficiency.
