The primary symptom caused by this pathogen is known as heterosporium leaf spot. It mainly affects members of the Nyctaginaceae family, particularly the Oxybaphus genus. The infection manifests as necrotic spots on foliage, which can lead to premature leaf senescence, reduced plant vigor, and potential decline if the infestation remains unmanaged.
