The host range of Neofusicoccum luteum is extensive, including grapevines, citrus trees, apple orchards, stone fruits, and various ornamental and forest species. The fungus colonizes the xylem and cambium layers of the plant, disrupting water and nutrient transport, which ultimately leads to leaf chlorosis, stunted growth, and the sudden wilting of branches or entire plants.
