Apogonia destructor is a significant agricultural pest belonging to the order Coleoptera and the family Scarabaeidae. Recognized primarily for its destructive impact in tropical regions, this beetle species poses a persistent threat to various economically important perennial and annual crops.
The pest is known for its polyphagous nature, attacking a wide range of vegetation. Common host plants include sugarcane, rubber trees, tea bushes, and various legumes.
