Description
The cotton bollworm (Latin: Helicoverpa armigera) is a highly destructive moth species within the Noctuidae family. Renowned for its polyphagous nature, this pest poses a global threat to sustainable agriculture, often exhibiting high resistance to traditional control methods due to its rapid adaptation and migratory capabilities.
This pest attacks a vast array of host plants, causing severe economic damage to crops such as cotton, maize, tomatoes, pulses, and sunflowers.
