Host plants: This gastropod is highly polyphagous, meaning it feeds on a wide variety of plant materials. It commonly targets leafy greens such as lettuce and cabbage, succulent vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes, as well as young seedlings and ornamental bedding plants found in gardens and greenhouses.

Biology and life cycle: The life cycle of Bradybaena despecta is highly dependent on environmental moisture. Snails remain inactive during dry spells, hiding under debris or inside the soil.
