Description

The three-spotted weevil (Hadroplontus trimaculatus) is a member of the Coleoptera order and the Curculionidae family. This beetle is recognized as a significant pest that specializes in feeding on various plant species within the Brassicaceae family, often impacting agricultural productivity significantly.

The primary hosts for this insect include winter and spring oilseed rape, mustard, turnip rape, and various wild cruciferous weeds. These wild hosts play a crucial role in the lifecycle of the pest, allowing it to maintain population levels near cultivated fields during the off-season.
