Homalinotus is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Curculionidae (weevils) within the order Coleoptera. These insects are recognized as significant agricultural pests in tropical regions, specifically targeting palm species that are crucial for the global agricultural economy.

These weevils primarily infest various types of palm trees, including coconut and oil palms. They target specific parts of the plant, such as the crown and stems, making the palms highly susceptible to structural damage and physiological stress, which directly impacts fruit production and tree longevity.
