The reticulate bark beetle (Hylurgops reticulatus) belongs to the family Curculionidae and the subfamily Scolytinae. It is a wood-boring insect that primarily targets conifer species, causing significant ecological and economic impact in forest management areas across its geographical range.
This species specializes in colonizing coniferous trees, particularly pine (Pinus) and spruce (Picea) varieties.
