Magdalis barbicornis is a species of snout beetle belonging to the family Curculionidae (order Coleoptera). This insect is recognized as a significant pest in both temperate fruit orchards and forest nurseries, known for its ability to damage the structural integrity of woody plants.
The primary hosts of this beetle include various members of the Rosaceae family. It is most frequently encountered on apple, pear, cherry, and plum trees.
