Perperus is a genus of snout beetles (Curculionidae) within the order Coleoptera. While relatively niche in some regions, these beetles can act as significant pests in orchards and vineyards, causing economic losses if their population density exceeds the established threshold.

The host range of Perperus primarily includes fruit trees and vines. Adults feed on foliage, buds, and young shoots, which can severely stunt the development of younger plants. The economic impact is linked to both direct destruction of plant tissue and increased susceptibility of the plant to secondary infections.

The biology of Perperus involves a complex lifecycle typical of weevils. Eggs are usually laid in the soil or on plant debris, where the larvae undergo development, often feeding on root systems or decaying matter.
