This pest infests a wide variety of plants, showing a strong preference for the roots of corn, small grains, potatoes, and young nursery stock. The presence of these larvae in fields can lead to significant economic losses, as they are capable of decimating root systems, thereby compromising the entire plant's vigor and survival, particularly in young crops.
