The Viburnum borer (Synanthedon viburni) is a member of the Sesiidae family, commonly known as clearwing moths. This pest is a specialized threat to various species of Viburnum, as it spends the majority of its life cycle as a larva tunneling through the vascular tissues of the host plant.
