Tylenchocriconema alleni is a microscopic plant-parasitic nematode belonging to the order Tylenchida and the family Criconematidae. As a specialized soil-borne pest, it primarily targets the root systems of various plants, posing a significant risk to both agricultural production and nursery stock.

The host range of Tylenchocriconema alleni typically includes perennial crops such as orchard trees and berry bushes. Because these plants occupy the soil for long periods, they provide a stable environment for the nematode population to thrive, reproduce, and spread within the rhizosphere.

The biology of this nematode follows a complex life cycle consisting of an egg stage, four larval stages, and an adult stage. Using a specialized, needle-like structure called a stylet, the nematode punctures the root cells to feed on the cytoplasm.
