Description
Obtained from crossing the well-known old southern variety Red-cheeked and the seedling of the Zabaykalsky apricot Northern Early. Author A.N. Venyaminov. It was tested in the southern part of the Central Chernozem region.
The tree is strong-growing with a spreading crown. Branching is moderate. Main branches are thick, branching at an angle of 45 degrees or more. Leaves are large with a pointed tip.
Fruits are round-oval in shape. Fruit mass is 55 g. Skin is hairy, medium-thick, slightly acidic. Fruit color at full ripeness is yellow-orange with greenish tint on the shaded side. Cover color is a solid, blurred or dark-red blush. Flesh is orange, juicy, tender, melting, with a pleasant sweet taste. Stone kernel is sweet. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption.
Ripe in late July — early August. First fruiting occurs on the 4th year of the tree's life in the garden. Intensely yields. Maximum yield per tree — 64 kg. Wood frost resistance is high; flower buds — medium. Resistant to diseases.
