The Esprit winter barley variety is a medium-maturing and medium-height variety with high yield and fodder use. It is characterized by dense, well-formed ears, strong straw, and large grain, ensuring high quality and stable yield. The variety was developed with breeders from Belarus, Germany, and Poland, confirming its adaptability to various soil-climate conditions.

Esprit is suitable for sowing in optimal and late periods, making it a versatile choice for different regions, particularly across the entire territory of Belarus. The recommended seeding rate varies depending on sowing time and soil fertility: 240–260 seeds per square meter for early sowing on fertile soils, up to 310–330 seeds for late sowing on less fertile soils. This flexibility allows effective use of the variety under various agronomic conditions.

The average yield of the variety over the 2021–2023 period was 74.2 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 103 centners per hectare. These figures make Esprit attractive to agricultural producers seeking high productivity and quality fodder barley. The variety is registered and recommended for cultivation in 2024, confirming its modernity and relevance.
