Carnival — a medium-maturing carrot variety for general use. The vegetative period of the Carnival variety from emergence to technical maturity is 90-120 days. Roots are conical, blunt-tipped (sometimes pointed), 14-16 cm long, weighing 75-200 g, with smooth surface. Surface — orange, flesh — deep orange color, tender, juicy. The core of the Carnival carrot is small. The medium-maturing Carnival variety is characterized by high yield (60-80 t/ha) and fruit marketability, suitable for storage. The Carnival carrot variety is intended for fresh consumption and the food processing industry. Regarding cultivation, the best predecessors for carrots are crops under which organic fertilizers were applied. Carrots should be sown directly into open ground (seeds sown on permanent site). Carrots of the medium-maturing Carnival variety can be grown both on ridges and without ridges. In areas with sufficient moisture or under irrigation, ridge cultivation is ideal. This method is also very suitable for heavy soils. This method allows obtaining uniform fruits with high market qualities. Harvesting is also facilitated. When growing without ridges, use row planting. Row spacing 30-45 cm. One modification of row planting for the Carnival carrot is the strip-row planting. In this case, seeds are sown in four rows, spaced 20-30 cm apart.
