Description
Key characteristics of "Vehovskaya" are high resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought. The variety also tolerates heat and frost well, which allows it to be grown in various climatic conditions. Yield ranges from 6.7 to 13.6 c/ha depending on agro-technical conditions; maximum output is achieved with an optimal sowing scheme (50 × 20 cm) and density of 60–70 plants per m².
Protein content in the grain is about 28%, making "Vehovskaya" attractive for both the food industry and home consumption. Culinary qualities of the variety are excellent: beans quickly increase in volume during cooking, retain structure and aroma, which allows them to be used in soups, salads, and side dishes. Due to its characteristics, this variety is suitable for both commercial cultivation and small family farms.
