ES Constellation

The hybrid sweet corn ES Constellation is a mid-early variety included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem and Lower Volga regions of Russia. Plants of this hybrid are tall, with slightly curved leaves and medium anthocyanic root coloration at the stem. The ears are long and thick, with a large number of rows of kernels. The kernels have an intermediate type with a characteristic coloration: the upper part is yellow-orange, and the lower part is orange. The average yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 68.9 c/ha, which is 30.9% higher than the standard level, and in the Lower Volga region — 38.7 c/ha. The maximum recorded yield was 111.6 c/ha in 2016.

ES Constellation is distinguished by high resistance to major corn diseases, including stalk rot, ear fusarium, and stalk borer infestation. These qualities make the hybrid a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions, ensuring a stable and high yield.

The hybrid is suitable for intensive cultivation technologies due to its good adaptability and water release, which contributes to efficient resource use and reduced cultivation costs. High early growth and genetically built resistance to adverse factors such as drought and cold allow farmers to achieve maximum profitability with minimal financial investment.
