Description
Fayette is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, drought, cold, pest damage, and major diseases. The plants exhibit high tolerance to drought stress and develop a strong root system with significant stem and leaf mass at medium height, ensuring a conservative architecture. The hybrid responds well to improved growing conditions and is recommended for all agroclimatic zones of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissya.
The potential grain yield of the Fayette hybrid is 14.0-15.0 t/ha, with an average multi-year yield of 8.59 t/ha in the steppe zone and 10.5 t/ha in the forest-steppe. The maximum yield recorded at the Institute of Irrigation of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was 14.18 t/ha at a harvest moisture content of 13.2%. In competitive trials, the hybrid showed yields of 9.29 t/ha in 2020 and 10.38 t/ha in 2021, outperforming standard hybrids in several indicators, including lower grain moisture content at harvest.

Dual-purpose hybrids: for silage and grain in all growing regions. These are "stay-green" type hybrids, meaning the plants remain green for a longer period. However, this does not affect the sugar, cellulose, and hemicellulose content, nor the degree of lignification of the plant... |
