Corn KR 244 MV is a hybrid of early and mid-early maturity types, developed based on autodiploid and diploid lines, which ensures high specific combining ability and stable grain yield. Studies conducted under various climatic conditions, including experimental fields of the National Grain Center, confirmed the high adaptability and productivity of this hybrid. The vegetation period is approximately 108-120 days, allowing its use in regions with moderate climates and obtaining stable yields.

Morphological characteristics of KR 244 MV include plant height ranging from 240 to 270 cm, which provides good competition with weeds and optimal use of sunlight. Plants possess a strong and deep root system, facilitating effective water and nutrient supply, thereby enhancing resistance to adverse conditions. Ears have a dent type of kernel, with row numbers ranging from 16 to 18 and 38-46 kernels per row, and 1000-seed mass varies between 310-330 grams. Ear attachment height is 110-120 cm, which promotes good ventilation and reduces disease risk.

The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major corn diseases such as smut, rust, helminthosporium, stalk and root rot, as well as to pests including corn borer.
