Krasnodarsky 292 AMV

Corn Krasnodarsky 292 AMV is a medium-early simple modified hybrid, primarily intended for grain production. The plant is of medium height — about 260–270 cm, with medium-width leaves and slightly curved shape. The grain is cream-colored, toothed, predominantly yellow at the top, with intermediate type. The ear is long, thick, slightly conical, with short or medium shank and medium number of rows. The hybrid is adapted to various soil types and demonstrates early development in the initial stages of organogenesis. Krasnodarsky 292 AMV has high resistance to lodging and drought, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under insufficient moisture conditions. It exhibits good cold tolerance and excellent grain moisture release, which contributes to efficient harvest and grain storage. Recommended planting density varies from 55 to 75 thousand plants per hectare depending on soil moisture level. The hybrid is successfully grown in the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, and Lower Volga regions. The hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including southern gummy mold, blister rust, and stem rot, as well as bacterial and Fusarium ear diseases, although susceptible to damage by corn stem borer. Average grain yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches approximately 58–63 c/ha, with maximum yields up to 266 c/ha of dry matter. Average dry matter content in silage is 34%, further highlighting the versatility and productivity of this hybrid.
