KUBANSKIY 141 MV

KUBANSKIY 141 MV — this is an early-maturing corn hybrid intended for grain and silage production. It is recommended for use in the Central Chernozem, Ural, West Siberian, and East Siberian regions. Plants of this hybrid have medium height, broad and slightly curved leaf blades, and dense ears. A distinguishing morphological feature is the medium angle between the leaf blade and stem, as well as weak or absent anthocyanic pigmentation of roots and base of ear husks. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases such as common smut, bacterial blight, gray mold, and stalk rot, as well as medium damage from corn borer. Field trials show high yield potential. In the Central Chernozem region, average grain yield is approximately 48 c/ha, and in the Ural region — around 16 c/ha, with maximum yields reaching 91.6 and 70.9 c/ha respectively. Grain moisture at harvest ranges from 22.5–24.6%, facilitating effective processing and storage. The hybrid is characterized by uniform plant morphology and rapid moisture loss in grain after grain filling, which simplifies harvest and reduces losses. KUBANSKIY 141 MV was developed as a replacement for the previous hybrid Obский 140 СВ and has been successfully used in agricultural practice since 2012. It is suitable for both grain and silage production, ensuring high productivity — in 2013, silage mass yield reached 498 c/ha. Due to its agronomic traits and disease resistance, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high-quality corn harvest.
